4.8% unemployment. Social welfare state. Socialised healthcare. Highest literacy rate on the planet.
Knock yourselves out, you fuckwits.
Let’s be honest here, City Square isn’t exactly aiming high. I had to google it to remember where it was.

When it was announced that Jessica Watson, was going to sail unassisted around the world, my first thoughts were “what a cunt’. As terrible as it sounds, I was actually talking about myself. By calling her that, I was emphasising to myself how unmotivated I was and how indifferent I had become to most things, she was just a mirror. This is one of the reasons why I hate the show ‘twentysomething’ on ABC2. I don’t need another reflective portrayal of how shitty ‘gen y’ can be. No thanks ABC, I’d literally rather do anything than watch that show. This isn’t the first time, incidentally, that the ABC had indirectly told me how shit I am. The ‘gen y’ Q&A or #qanda special on earlier this year was just an example. I found myself, heaven forbid, actually wanting to side more with James Paterson (aka young liberal with an uncanny resembalance to our mate Wyatt) because he seemed the only panellist able to string a coherent word or two together. This was a low moment for two reasons. One, he’s a wanker. And two, he works at the ‘Institute of Public Affairs’ or as it should be called ‘the institute of the right wing and the well off, with greed running as an undercurrent’. So twice has the ABC shoved the apathy of gen y in my face, something I don’t want to see in my primetime viewing. No, I’d rather sit back on the couch and complain about things with entitlement thankyou.
